a modern wedding

It seems like most of my finds have been coming from the front page on Etsy lately. The other day I spotted this beautiful Grecian dress which led me to this gorgeous dress. I'm loving this reconstructed vintage comb in the soft pink hues paired with the dress. And where there's soft pink, there must be sage green.

1. floor length dream dress by MagnolijaDRESS $250.00
2. judith - vintage millinery comb by whichgoose $45.00
3. simple stripe invitation by Cheerupcherup $4.00

a modern wedding

Earlier I came across this short and lovely in lace wedding dress that had me smiling at its sweet simplicity. I imagine the feel for a ceremony that fits this dress being serene and neutral with a touch of a happy color. In this wedding, modern elegance meets vintage charm in a sophisticated yet still comfortable event.

3. Touch of Class Kissing Ball by AngelloftCreations $28.00

packaging solutions

Whether you're selling something that needs packaging or you're simply looking for a unique gift solution, here are some lovely ideas for adorning those little boxes. Tissue paper flowers and paper butterflies are nice when you're wanting a nice, airy look. Also, try stamping a simple image in the middle of the box and finishing it off with baker's twine and a decorative gift tag. And of course, ribbon, ribbon, ribbon!

1. handmade tags - the seven seas by EdgeInspired $7.00
2. yellow gingham ribbon by CCustomCreations $1.30
3. paper butterflies -- world traveler by peacocky $5.00
4. coco bean bakers twine by CaliforniaCraft $1.99
5. tissue pom pom by melodywei $9.00
6. chocolate brown gift boxes by NotableNotions $12.50

All of these items, along with other great packaging solutions, can be found on Etsy.

shopping for pretend

If you haven't noticed, I'm loving these honey bee earrings right now, and I've started thinking about something new that can go with them. These springy flower clips from a brand new Etsy shop are just darling (and they happen to be on sale). And I dream of having a waist to fit this lovely powder blue dress. There's only a few weeks left until that possibility can come true. :) Of course, there will most likely be several more weeks (or months) before it can ACTUALLY happen. A girl can dream though, I suppose...

Anywho, back to what's important. Check out these artist's shops for other great finds:

1. Light Blue Pleated Collar Dress by Ananya for $60.00
2. Honey Bee Earrings by MaddyAnne for $14.00
3. Lemon Lily Flower Clips by ShadesOfHeaven for $14.00

Spring has Sprung!

Finally! Out in Texas, we're not used to all of this cold. This is probably the first year since I moved out here that we experienced all four seasons. We even had snow! Needless to say, we're quite thankful for the warming weather.

It's lovely to sit out on our back porch and look up at our backyard neighbor's flowering Prunus Mexicana tree. Maybe one day I'll plant one for our yard.

A sure, unfortunate sign of spring is when you begin to notice the weeds popping up. We've definitely had our share of dandelion-fever already this year.
